Wild About Wine 2014!


We have been joining the folks at the Cincinnati Zoo for their Wild About Wine events for years now and still find lots of fun people to meet and share our gelato with. This year, we are going to be raffling off free tickets on our Facebook page to these very fun events. Each event offers great food from local restaurants and caterers, a walk around the zoo where you can pet the some of the animals they have on display with the trainers, and drink wine. And with tickets, it's all for free!

This year's winner of the contest was Jason Roberts and he brought some of his friends from work. There will be another event next month, so stay tuned, like our Facebook Page, and rub your rabbit's foot for luck!

The Open Door Diner in Altamont, IL


If you ever find yourself heading west from Cincinnati into Illinois, consider stopping for a rest in Altamont, Illinois. There is a little placed called the Open Door Diner and there you will not only find a delicious cinnamon bun for breakfast or chicken salad sandwich for lunch, you will also find Madisono's Gelato and Sorbet on their menu for dessert. :o) The empire expands...mwa-ha-ha-ha!

Madisono's Teaching Local Kids the Science of Gelato



Being a science kid himself, Matt Madison is very pleased to be teaching the fun of science to some local sixth graders at Kilgour School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Together with Mary Schleuter, who developed the P.I.E. (Partnership in Innovative Education) program and the teachers at Kilgour, the children will be learning the business and science of making one of our favorite treats: gelato!

The project was featured on The List with Jennell Watson on Wednesday night.

New Madisono's Spring Flavors: Hokey Pokey


Spring will be here soon, believe it or not. And we've got some delicious seasonal flavors that will make your mouth burst with joy.

Hokey Pokey is a flavor that has a fun history. We created this flavor for the Xavier Music Series when we wanted to make the musician from New Zealand feel a little closer to home. One of the most popular ice cream flavors in New Zealand is called the Hokey Pokey. So we made some of our own honeycomb toffee and blended it into our famously delicious Madagascar Vanilla. It was a big hit, so we thought we'd add it to our regular line of flavors. Insert happy dance.

All the buzz is about Madisono's New Flavor: Espresso Bean!


We are very buzzed to tell you about one of our newest flavors of Madisono's Gelato! It started with a smooth espresso gelato and because we were so pumped up, we threw in some chocolate covered espresso beans for crunch. If you think that sounds good (and trust us, it is!) try some on a dark chocolate brownie...divine!
